Benesyst has created new positions for Sales Representatives in each of three areas: the Los Angeles/Southern California area, the Cincinnati market, the Denver market, and the Minneapolis/Upper Midwest area.
Position Description:
These positions require the sale of complex services, industry-leading benefits technology and services to broker/consultant, employer, TPA, and insurance company sales channels. The long-term nature of our client relationships and partnerships requires that our sales executives have considerable proven knowledge and sales experience in employee benefits and thrive in a context of high-level relationship-building in a demanding, competitive and increasingly technological field. You must be able to create and deliver a highly effective sales presentation, cultivate existing and new contacts in the assigned territory, develop prospects in the over-500 employee marketplace, and close sales. Successful representatives must develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape in a variety of sales channels and effectively articulate Benesyst's many functional distinctions.
Requirements:
- Integrity; references will be required
- 3+ years field sales experience with proven ability to deliver significant new business
- 3+ years of Business to Business sales and Benefits Administration operations experience required, particularly relating to outsourced employee benefits management solutions including online benefit enrollment, eligibility management and billing, COBRA and retiree administration, and FSA, transit and HRA/HSA administration
- Demonstrated experience with consultatively selling complex solutions and a high interest and aptitude for mastering evolving benefits technology.
- Excellent organizational skills, superior time management strategies and the ability to work with minimal supervision from an office detached from headquarters.
- Intelligent self starter with a demonstrated passion for consultative selling and the drive to work both smart and hard to succeed in a demanding, challenging position.
- Proven ability to make effective individual and group sales presentations to decision makers.
- Proven ability to negotiate sales terms and close sales at the executive level.
- Demonstrated attitude toward being a team player and a desire to assist with team leadership.
- Ability to drive or fly to client locations as needed

Member
Role: A Benefits Management Team Member provides analytical support, leads projects & implementations, resolves day-to-day service issues, and assists with developing client relationships. This position will be responsible for managing, maintaining and implementing medium to small sized client groups with future growth potential for large groups as Benesyst expands.
Major Responsibilities:
- Perform business analyst functions to complete Web Implementation Projects
- Define, gather, and analyze client requirements
- Develop customer deliverables, including functional design documents
- Work with developers to resolve requirements issues and ensure requirements are being met
- Develop test plans, define detailed test cases, develop/locate test data, and conduct system /integration testing
- Document and manage defects
- Coordinate defect resolution with developers and retest fixes
- Develop user and system documentation
- Develop training materials and train users
- Accurately estimate work effort and complete assignments on schedule
- Conduct analysis and act as quality control coordinator
Daily Responsibilities:
- Direct or assist in the overall planning, direction, and coordination of our clients' Benefits plan such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, LTD, EAP, Flex, and COBRA
- Develop an understanding of client businesses, policies, practices, and industries to anticipate client needs and respond to day-to-day service requests
- Assist with financial reviews of renewals, marketing plans, valuations, and cost estimates for client proposals
- Partner with clients and carriers to gather data and conduct primary research for client plans and projects
- Draft client reports, prepare financial statistics, and perform complex calculations and report filings
- Conduct interpretive analysis to develop potential solutions/alternatives as appropriate
- Gather data to develop plan design, funding, and administrative alternatives
- Manage tasks and projects from multiple clients and plans simultaneously while meeting designated deadlines
- Process and coordinate monthly client billing
- Process and maintain daily carrier eligibility files and carrier discrepancy reporting
- High volume client, carrier and participant contact required
Requirements:
- Similar experience Benefits related field with strong knowledge of Health & Welfare underwriting principles
- Strong analysis skills
- Knowledge of finance business functions, processes, and technology platforms
- Ability to multi-task effectively on a variety of tasks
- Solid writing skills and experience
- Good verbal communication skills
- Close attention to details
- Good presentation skills
- Strong facilitation skills
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office/Excel/Email/Internet
- Prior experience developing test plans and testing applications preferred
